It's a boy!!

It's a boy!!! We are so excited to finally know! I'll post pictures tomorrow :)

Waiting...

I went by the bank on Saturday and ironed out the details of our mortgage and got a great interest rate locked in. Things are still moving along smoothly and we're just waiting to close and move in... all the while, dreaming of renovations, paint chips, and nursery decor :)

We find out if the baby is a boy or a girl on March 10th and should close on the house on March 15th. It'll be a big week and I can't wait!!!!

Inspection Complete!

A friend's husband/builder did our inspection today! We'll have the final report tomorrow or Thursday morning. There was nothing too major. I don't think there's anything they could tell us to make us change our minds! We are so very ready to move in and start painting!

I am 14 weeks today! I have an OB appointment on Thursday right after work. I am so excited to hear the heartbeat again! I wish I could slip one of those fetal dopplers in my purse! :)

The comic book...

I used several inside lines/songs/movies to make up the text.

It was pretty easy and fun to make and he LOVED it :) 

By the way... there were not hot brunettes to choose from so I went blonde.

Worth the wait...

I promise that this post will be worth the wait as I'm sure you've been on the edge of your seat waiting on my next post :).

The truth is that I haven't blogged because I couldn't tell you the only thing I wanted to share:

I. AM. PREGNANT!!!

We are so very excited... in fact, this was my husband's expression when I told him:

When we decided to start trying, I knew exactly how I wanted to tell him when the time was right. I made him a comic book of us which ended with a little rhyme about having a baby. It turned out really great and I will post it this week. 

I found out the day after our 6th anniversary and told him that I had a late anniversary present for him to open. While I was ready with the camera on video, he thought I was waiting to take a picture. I was able to catch the exact moment it dawned on him and turn it into a still shot :)

We feel so very blessed to be pregnant! I have followed so many infertility blogs through my friend's struggle and I can not express how overwhelmingly blessed we feel. We know that this is a miracle and are praising God for what's in store.

Here's our first ultrasound at 6 weeks and 1 day:

Not much to see actually but we did get to see the heartbeat. The actual "baby" is between the plus signs... tiny!!

I'm due August 2nd and ready for a long hot summer after all this snow!!!
