Living Beyond... Myself!

Some things I never want to forget or stop feeling....

  • We cannot be full of ourselves and full of the Holy Spirit at the same time
  • Dare to live as a forgiven woman.  Take sides with God against your own self evaluation.
  • Guilt can be an idol
  • We do things to excess because we want to feel different.
  • God can make us feel different!
  • Most of the time we don't know what we want.  We search and search for something to fill that void. God belongs in that hole... not food, family, alcohol, cigarettes.... etc
  • When God is filling your every fiber, your impulses and irrational urges take over to bless, honor and praise God rather than ourselves.
  • He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person, just as God was there for us.
  • God "adopted" each of us knowing exactly what was ahead. He knew each time we would fail Him, deny Him, desert Him, choose someone over Him, or make choices that would break His heart.
  • "Abba, Father" basically means "Daddy, my Daddy". It is a term of endearment expressed by a young child to his beloved father, his hero, the one who kisses his scraped knee and dries his fresh tears. "Abba" would be the word used only for a parent who was familiar, available, trustworthy, and comforting.  Read Mark 14:32-36 with this in mind and tell me it doesn't make you cry!
